The smaller possessions are ones that oftentimes forgotten when packing for a move. Yet, these small possessions mostly involve the expensive personal belongings that you cannot afford to forget or misplace. To avoid forgetting even the littlest jewelry or smallest electronic techie gadget, here are important things to keep in mind while packing.

Many days in advance, start packing a separate box or case for a family member. Allot different containers for each family member where they can put all their personal stuff. Ask them to do their own packing since they are the ones who are very familiar with their possessions. This way, packing things however small will not be overlooked since the owner will be the one who will do the packing and checking of all his or her things.

Allocate a separate box or case for expensive possessions such as jewelry and other accessories. If possible, always have the case where these expensive possessions are kept with you. Always take into account all the pieces that you need to pack and check whether you have properly places them in the correct container.

Before the day of the actual move, check and recheck all the things that you need to pack. If possible, create a list of the possessions that you need to include in the move however small or big, and cheap or expensive they are.
